A brave new world

How are you enjoying your brave new world:

“TONY BLAIR promised yesterday (1999) to abandon the caution shown in his first two years in power by sweeping away the “forces of conservatism”… that the party’s “new radicals” would “set the people free” by creating a New Britain based on equal opportunity for all.

Gee, how can we oppose it? After all:

What’s an individual or group of individuals worth compared to the good of everyone forever?”

So, are things better? Cameron made the British Conservatives Party progressive, how’s that working out for the UK? How about Australia under Gillard? or the USA under Obama? No need to ask more.  If sound government is not restored things will be grim – have a look at Jesse’s post:

For the Greater Good

Oh, the progressive left and their charnel houses. They’re so sanctimonious with their cry “it’s for the greater good, only a foul heartless monster could oppose it”. After all, what’s an individual or group of individuals worth compared to the good of everyone forever? How can we let the Kulaks or capitalist class stand in the way of equality, of an end to the exploitation of man by man?

Jesse nails so much with this post. While it is not for the faint hearted, it should never be forgotten. But it also must be understood. We must see through the Orwellian newspeak of the chattering classes.

The left accuses others of its own sins. It calls black white and good evil. Not for nothing have they persuaded many that discrimination and judgement and wrong. Good riddens to good judgement and the ability to discriminate between right and wrong. Better by far if people just do as they are told, by their progressive left masters.

Hand in hand with the assaults on reason and the Western civilization way is the jihad against free speech. A willingness to speak out and say what you think is verboten. Doing so could undermine their politically correct nostrums. Better to make it illegal on the grounds it might offend someone or make them feel discriminated against.

The left are evil. They advocate ideologies which inevitably lead to mass murder and misery.

NSA surveillance, wiretapping and its impact on culture and country

“The tyranny of a prince in an oligarchy is not so dangerous to the public welfare as the apathy of the citizens in a democracy” Montesquieu

  • Change
      • Remember way back when Janet Napolitano and DHS listed conservatives, pro-lifers, ex vets, Christians as potential terrorists. Did that enable NSA to target and scrutinize the phone and computer data of people associated with those groups? Is a great question, inspired by a great post:

Obama represents the counterculture of the 1960s. The part that hated the culture and the institutions of the country. They are the ones who spit on Viet Nam vets as they came home, and chanted “Ho, Ho, Ho Chi Min, the Viet Cong are going to win” as they rioted for a communist victory in Viet Nam.

They didn’t like America. And they went on a long march through the institutions they own today: academia, the media, the press, the “permanent” government.

Pushing back, the rest of the country became more reflexively more pro-country. But that is changing thanks to the Obama administration. Now that the hard core cadres of the Left have captured the Presidency, the patriotism of the Country Class may be turning…. love is reciprocated with hate, there is a reaction…..

My admiration for law enforcement, for the military, for teachers, for trust in the basic justice of the government is disappearing. I may soon end up as part of the NEW American counterculture. After all, if the country under Obama represent the dominant culture, then those of us who were once patriots will now become what they once were.

On Reality, America and the world today

“When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living in society, they create for themselves, in the course of time, a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it.” Frederic Bastiat
