George Zimmerman

I’ve not followed the Zimmerman case closely, but the media appears to have stirred things up:

An ideology-based, media-driven false narrative that has distorted a tragedy into a racist outrage. This narrative has transformed Zimmerman, a man of racially mixed heritage that included white, Hispanic and black roots (a grandmother who helped raise him had an Afro-Peruvian father), into an honorary white male steeped in white privilege. It has cast him as a virulent racist even though he once had a black business partner, mentored African-American kids, lived in a neighborhood about 20 percent black, and participated in complaints about a white police lieutenant’s son getting away with beating a homeless black man.  Read on for multiple examples

As did the Justice Department:

A little-known unit of the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Community Relations Service (CRS), was deployed to Sanford, FL, following the Trayvon Martin shooting to help organize and manage rallies and protests against George Zimmerman.

It’s classic Alinsky “Rules for Radicals” manufacturing/maintaining rage in the community. As an amazon comment on the book states “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it”.

Inflaming the base, spurs votes and secures elections. This makes it a good thing, irrespective of who gets demonized/hurt by this perverting of attitudes and no doubt behavior. I guess it is a case of “For the good of all, we must spread hate”.

So sad. For everyone.

This post is based on a comment Don’t forget the broken nose  submitted to nakedcapitalism in response to, among other things, claims  Zimmerman did not sustained an injury, was racist etc.

This could say a lot about the kind of guy Zimmerman is:

OFFICIALS say George Zimmerman helped rescue four people from an overturned vehicle last week, just days after he was cleared of all charges in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

Still willing to put himself out to help others.

Update 24/09/2016

On-going reporting on The Last Refuge:

US Coup?

A brilliantly put post:

It’s Time for Americans to Admit That We’ve Had a Coup d’etat states: “During my professional life it was Soviet Russia that persecuted truth tellers, while America gave them asylum and tried to protect them. Today it is Washington that persecutes those who speak the truth, and it is Russia that protects them.

The American public has not, this time, fallen for Washington’s lie that Snowden is a traitor. The polls show that a majority of Americans see Snowden as a whistleblower.

It is not the US that is damaged by Snowden’s revelations. It is the criminal elements in the US government that have pulled off a coup against democracy, the Constitution, and the American people who are damaged. It is the criminals who have seized power, not the American people, who are demanding Snowden’s scalp” Read the whole post.

The majority are not parroting the official party line that “Snowden is a traitor”. Can’t have that: “the United States government just got the green-light to use propaganda made for foreign audiences on the American public”.

After all, if we can’t fix public opinion we may have to to fix an election:

Romney Got No Votes in 59 Philadelphia Voting Districts: “And the unofficial vote tallies have President Barack Obama beating the former Massachusetts governor by a combined vote of 19,605 to 0, The Philadelphia Inquirer reports”.

In 37 Chicago Precincts, Romney Received, No Votes. From the comments: In critical swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Illinois there are a lot of precincts in Philadelphia, Cleveland, and Chicago which reported 100% of their votes cast for Obama. These add up to many 10’s of thousands of votes for Obama and 0 for Romney. I repeat, 0 for Romney. I have read a number of articles about this and people knowlegable in Political Science and Statistics are starting to take notice of this.Statistically, even if among 10’s of thousands of voters all wanted to vote fo Obama, it would not be possible to receive 100% of the vote because at least a few would make a mistake and vote incorrectly for Romney. Not to mention the fact that a least a few of those 10’s of thousands might actually disagree with Obama. These types of election returns are only seen in countries run by dictators. I do not understand why this is not getting more attention.

Move along. Nothing to see here.
